Olivier Giroud started alongside Eden Hazard as Chelsea named a recognised striker for Sunday’s Premier League clash at Crystal Palace.
Hazard had been deployed in the ‘false nine’ position to good effect, but Giroud was selected as the attacking focal point at Selhurst Park.
Max Meyer was replaced by Jeffrey Schlupp in Palace’s only change.
