Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri believes his side are in fine fettle heading into a crucial stage of the season.

The Bianconeri cruised to a 3-0 home win against Frosinone on Friday night courtesy of goals from Paulo Dybala, Leonardo Bonucci and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juve extended their unbeaten Serie A run this season to 24 matches and hold a 14-point lead over nearest challengers Napoli, who play Torino on Sunday.

Their latest win was also the ideal warm-up for the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie against Atletico Madrid in Spain next Wednesday.

“Yes, we are in a good condition,” Allegri told a post-match press conference.

“Apart from the setback against Parma we are doing well, and we are at a particularly important moment. The team’s effort has been good and it has been from the individuals.”

Dybala silenced his critics by ending a 10-game goal drought in spectacular fashion, firing into the top corner from outside the penalty area in the sixth minute.

“I’m happy for him,” Allegri said. “He had a great performance and scored a great goal. The attackers live for this.

“Juventus needs a player like him, who is good on the lines. This year the development of the game makes him find less space to score, but he is continuing to play very well.”

Allegri is keen to return from Madrid next week with an away goal.

“Let’s go to Madrid to score,” he added. “Obviously it will be a different game, but we are fine. The important thing is that the challenge is approached with the right attention.”
